This is a cute little nightstand that goes with the lowboy, and tallboy dresser. The varnish is flaking off badly, and needs a total redo. I want to keep some of the mahogany and paint the rest.
I stripped the varnish off the top and on the drawers, and sanded lightly any other varnish that was flaking off.
I put a generous coat of dark wax on the top and the drawers and buffed it out. The hardware is going to get a shot of new paint, antique pewter, but I wanted to take pictures while the sun was out, so I just plunked the old hardware on as is.
Now it is finished with clear wax, and redone hardware.
